- About
When someone we love passes away, being able to say goodbye is a vital part of grieving and healing, and for many people the funeral is an important part of this. For Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL), this moment can be deeply isolating if no interpreter is available to attend the service. Without an interpreter they could miss the readings, memories, and final words that bring comfort and closure.
Our new appeal aims to change that
MSDP are raising funds to ensure that Deaf people can fully take part in funeral services and memorials by providing qualified BSL interpreters at no cost to families. Every donation helps break down communication barriers at one of life’s most important moments - ensuring everyone can be included, respected, and understood.
Please donate today. Together, we can make sure no one is left out of saying goodbye.
